A highly skilled painter and muralist from Liège (Belgium) who creates works of art based on just one rule. Not a golden rule, but the rule of NOIR. Everything is done in shades of black. Paintings, drawings, monumental murals, wall art, optical illusions, decoration and urban planning... His art strikes you from the moment you see it, attracting you by its technical skill and mastery of the art of illusion. Even if his more recent works are executed with some complementary colours, it is still crystal clear that only black is his signature.
NOIR has created paintings and murals that are so infinitely detailed that the more you look, the more fascinating they become. He found inspiration during his childhood in pop art, comic books and tattoos. What left the biggest impression was the moment he discovered painter and sculptor Robert Longo, who is famous for his monumental ultra-realistic creations.
NOIR's way of occupying the available space throws monotony overboard and allows him to provoke the viewer's point of view and interpretations. His aim is to keep pushing the boundaries and taking the mural to a new level.
