The work of Oli-B (Brussels, Belgium) spans a wide range of media: acrylic, spray paint and digital or screen printing techniques on a variety of surfaces, including paper, canvas, wood, walls or even stickers. Visually, it is fluidity that dominates: soft curves with abstract forms that both refer to and escape the figurative. The use of colour is emphatically present, but keeps each other in balance in a composition that binds everything together.
From his graffiti days as a teenager onwards, he stuck to his first love: shapes and colours. He began to flirt more and more with contemporary art. Letters developed in the direction of characters, and characters in the direction of shapes.
Oli-B absolutely loves the hustle and bustle of big cities and their crowds. He uses their streets as a playground. He gives life to his art by integrating it into the urban jungle in the form of a collage. The universe of colourful, vibrant pieces he creates are all made up of shapes, people and other elements born from his imagination.
