Tour Elentrik is a project in which artists paint electricity cabinets. With this project we offer you the chance to share art with the outside world. These small interventions can mean the sudden breakthrough of an artist and raise awareness among the inhabitants, or even give them the power to do something with art.
Just like last year, we kicked off the season with a #tourelentrik project. We visited Maasmechelen, all the way in the east of Belgium, to work with local and professional artists who call Maasmechelen their home. We were very impressed by their talent and ideas and supported them during the start-up phase. We gave them tips and tricks for working with stencils, spray cans, caps and acrylic paint. Soon we realised that these artistic wonders could run the show on their own, so we let them do it. The end results are simply stunning, and to top it all off, everyone had fun.
