20 utility boxes transformed into street art works in the streets of Stekene!

In September 2022, ten local creatives and ten professional artists set to work transforming electricity and utility boxes into stunning works of art. The theme was "active by nature," the municipal slogan. Each cabinet tells a unique story.

For the local artists, it was immediately an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent to a wide audience.

The works of art can be admired via a mapped 4-kilometer walking or cycling route. An overview of the painted utility boxes and their location, can be found in a bicycle map, available at the Tourist Office and at the library in the Stadionstraat in Stekene.
