Iota is a young female artist living and working in Brussels. Since childhood, Iota experimented with all forms of expression. She soon became attached to painting and drawing, more particularly to portraiture. Learning different techniques and a curious nature quickly allowed her to explore and develop a more personal form. Being fascinated by pointillism, she found aerosol paint to be a good compromise between precision, point-by-point work, and freedom of movement.
Her current work is characterized by the concept of blending in the artwork with the surroundings, meaning that the body of work serves more as a bridge to a certain emotion or atmosphere than just another subject or object. Our emotions are all similar, but always differently absorbed due to our difference in physics or personal experiences. This point of emotion is exactly what the artist is looking for; to catch the moment that influences the human soul and transmute it into a painting.
