Graduated in Graphic Design Communication, Nuño has been exploring the fine arts with the knowledge and techniques that he acquired over the years. With inspiration from nature and contact with different cultures, minimalism, geometry, textures and patterns are his primary focus.
In search for a universal language, based on the first writing that is known – the pictographic writing – he shows the primordial value of the image in human perception and communication. Pictographic writing does not represent a verbal language, but consists in transmitting an idea, a concept or an object through symbolism. Mostly monochromatic work that is marked by his influence and roots in graphic design connects to the primitive and the elementary. By giving priority to form, the observer is prevented from dispersing in colors.
Creating these artworks is done by using multiple techniques: painting, stencils, block printing, serigraphy, paste ups and linoleum. Using these techniques, he now works on textile, paper, fabrics and of course walls.
