Don’t fear the darkness, the light will show you the way.
Spidertag has been active on the streets and in rural spaces since 2008, reinterpreting geometry, abstraction and minimalism. His inspiration and influences range from Russian constructivism to kinetic art, through electronic and alternative music, literature, cinema, video games, graffiti and current muralism on modern architecture. Near the end of 2015 he discovered material that let him create a more personal and unique approach: flexible, battery-powered light cables. Here his adventure really starts, a daily dose of R&D mixes with fun and joy. The drive for geometry sets forth through interventions on floors, walls, and even in three-dimensional shapes suspended in the air. At night his work becomes clearly visible, creating a landmark for many, or a special place that really creates a nice atmosphere during any event. With his recent discovery of neon that could be added to his way of working, all limits were cut loose. Permanent, interactive and large-scale murals now belong to his repertoire, creating dreams in an era of ‘neonmetry’.
